Irakleous’ practice is primarily influenced by everyday life and the streets. Through his work, he explores the beauty of the boring, the subtle, the ignored, the unpleasant, the anti-art, the ordinary, and the mundane in the streets, where he believes the everyday life thrives.

In his latest photographic project, emotion is becoming a dominant element as he seeks to trigger a reaction inside the viewer. Through editing, Irakleous changes the atmosphere and the tone of each photograph by altering the colours, resulting in new, emotionally charged images. There is a continual existential dialogue between the photographs; between blue and red, between emptiness and passion, which results in a subtle tension.

In this body of work, the everyday is being transformed into a conflict zone of emotions and contrasts.
