In 2026, we’re celebrating our bicentenary and 200 years of Scottish art and architecture.

We’ll be marking this occasion nationwide as we bring over 100 partners, galleries and institutions together for an extraordinary year of exhibitions, events and performances.

Since our founding in 1826, the RSA and our Academicians have played a significant role in shaping the nation’s cultural landscape. Our project RSA200: Celebrating Together will bring communities across Scotland and beyond together, uniting museums, galleries and cultural partners in a shared celebration. Expect major exhibitions, performances, talks and rehangs of collections that will shine a spotlight on Scotland’s most treasured artworks.
