As a result of strike action from National Galleries of Scotland members of PCS Union, the gallery will be closed on Wednesday 12, Sunday 16 and Thursday 20 August.

Please note: There is currently a road closure on Princes Street. Our galleries are open as usual.

Princes Street is currently closed to traffic west of The Mound. The Princes Street tram stop is temporarily out of service, and trams are operating between Edinburgh Airport and West End. The nearest tram stop is West End. For the latest tram service information, please visit the Edinburgh Trams website.

Bus services are also being diverted due to the closure. For the latest updates on bus routes and services, please visit the Lothian Buses website.

We recommend allowing extra time for your journey and checking travel updates before you visit.
