Kiera Saunders (she/her) is a multi-disciplined artist. Her works upcycle low-tec material to create carnivalesque creatures, delivering humorous thoughts about grotesque feminism.

In her exhibited film, Muted Wing, a human bug transformation reflects ‘The Metamorphosis’ story by Franz Kafka, mirroring her feelings of anxiety during the climate crisis and isolation.

She is part of the exciting mask-making team, Vomiton, whose motto is ‘art made from rubbish isn’t rubbish art.’ Vomiton has exhibited with CIRCA at the Piccadilly Lights, Underground Flower, Luva Gallery and Mega Mega at Site Festival. They have also performed at Hidden Door Festival and Roundhouse, London.

Kiera has exhibited with Embassy gallery and ASVOFF by fashion critic Diane Pernet and has been selected for a Hospitalfield Residency. Her fashion pieces have been featured in magazines such as SICKY, Contributor, Mob Journal and Sticks & Stones. She has also collaborated in costume workshops with the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance and Open School East in Margate.
