    The RSA Graduate Travel Award is a one off award in conjunction with the, RSA Blackadder Houston Student Travel Award and the Blackadder Houston Bequest

     

    The award offers £3,000 to fund a period of international travel for graduating and postgraduate students in Scotland to research and develop a new body of work.

    How to apply

    • This award is part of the RSA Student Travel Awards, which also includes the RSA Barns-Graham Travel Award and the RSA David Michie Award. Application for all of these awards is made through one online application form via Submittable
    • Applicants are required to select which of the RSA Student Travel Awards they wish to be considered for, taking into account the eligibility and entry requirements for each award, and then indicate an order of preference. It is acceptable to apply for all three awards and also for the separate RSA John Kinross Scholarship if eligible.

    We are pleased to annouce the 2023 winner is Bronwen Barnes-Archer

    Bronwen will use the funds to travel to Tamil Nadu and Kerala, India, to learn about their local pottery traditions which are closely tied to the local geography.
