Hive: New RSA Diploma Works

HIVE: CAPTIVATION, COMMUNITY AND COLLABORATION NEW DIPLOMA WORKS FROM THE RSA PERMANENT COLLECTION

A selection of recently received RSA Diploma Works – including painting, sculpture, prints and architectural images – showcasing the established and emerging talent in contemporary art and architecture in Scotland today. From Leon Morrocco’s Cyclist Via Giolitti to Michael Visocchi’s Suburban Curve, from Gordon Munro’s Hive to Alfons Bytautas’ Nature Morte, the diversity of material makes for an intriguing representation of our contemporary members work.

The display centres around the RSA as an artistic community and looks at past practice, influences, techniques and collaborations. The artworks are supported by examples of previous work, artists’ statements, photographs and ancillary material, much of which has been generously passed on by the members and makes the RSA Diploma Collection a rich and unique resource.
