On behalf of Fife Council, ON Fife cares for a large and varied fine art collection – oil paintings, watercolours, prints, drawings and sculptures. To mark 200 years of the RSA we have selected a broad mix of artworks from the collection to create a celebration of Scottish 19th and 20th century art in our galleries. There are carefully crafted still lifes, elegant portraits, beautiful landscapes and thought-provoking abstracts.

Featured artists include Elizabeth Blackadder RSA, John Houston RSA, Frances Walker RSA, Anne Redpath RSA, William Gillies RSA, John Bellany RSA, Kate Downie RSA, William McTaggart RSA, the Scottish Colourists and the Glasgow Boys. Many of the works on display are by artists who were born in Fife or who have strong links to the area. Whether your tastes are traditional or more modern there is something to inspire, delight and surprise every visitor. There will also be a programme of events for all ages running alongside the exhibition.
