RSA Schools Art Awards 2022

The RSA Schools Art Award is open to all Secondary and Special Schools in Scotland. The competition has been running since 1986 and is considered by teachers to be one of the most prestigious awards made to pupils. Supported by Scottish law firm Brodies LLP, prizes are awarded for work which displays creativity and originality and skills of technique and observation.

The judging panel this year was headed by RSA President, Joyce W Cairns with Marian Leven RSA and Lynne Marr from Brodies LLP.

Submissions were made digitally again this year which proved very successful and there were over 1000 entries received.

This year’s Inspiration Art Department Award was won by Peebles High School and runners-up were Dunfermline High School and Kingspark School.

"The RSA is committed to encouraging and supporting artists right from the start of their creative journey.  Once again we have been inspired and encouraged to see the exceptional works produced by talented young people across Scotland for this year’s Art Award”.

Joyce W Cairns, RSA President
