Keith McIntyre’s solo exhibitions of drawings, paintings and prints include Tramway Glasgow; RAAB Galerie, Berlin; Kelvingrove Museum, Glasgow; Christian Dam Copenhagen; BCA London; VSU + SSU Georgia; Belenky New York; Galerie Habana, Cuba; and mima Middlesbrough.

His prints have been exhibited in a number international survey exhibitions: HIBRIDA I + II, Bradford and Brno Museum of Contemporary Art, Czech Republic and Ten International Printmakers’ Jvaskyla Museum of Art, Finland.

 

McIntyre has extensive experience as a collaborating artist and art director on a number of theatre projects including ‘Anna Campbell’ Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh; ‘Jock Tamsons Bairns’ Tramway, Glasgow,  ‘Legend of St Julian’ Traverse Theatre 1993 + Munich Arts Festival;  ‘Mfalme Juha’ Parapanda Arts Lab + Dar es Salaam + East Africa tour (all with Gerry Mulgrew + Communicado Theatre Co);  ‘Heid’ and ‘LSD – ‘Life Stories Dreams’  Sounds of Progress Glasgow + NTS, ‘Raspberry’ with Fittings Multi-Media and Sounds of Progress Glasgow (with Gordon Dougall) ‘’New Constellations’ BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art; ‘MACBETH - Kill Bill Shakespeare’ with Malachi Bogdanov, Wales Theatre Co. ‘The Unconquered’ Traverse + UK tour/Off Broadway Festival New York, and ‘Dare to Care’, Stellar Quines Theatre Company with Muriel Romanes.  Film and TV projects include ‘Walk Me Home’ with John Berger and Timothy Neat; and, The Savage’ with writer David Almond and actor Kevin Whately.

McIntyre’s works are in many public and private collections including The Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art; The Contemporary Arts Society; Glasgow Museums and Campbelltown Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney.

 

He is a previous winner of the Scottish Open Drawing Competition.
