Tim Sandys' residency in An Cridhe on the Isle of Coll offered the opportunity to develop works on paper and canvas as well as several film-works and sound pieces that are associated with representations of sociological data, individuation, percussion and ethnography.
Tim's practice involves the identification of points of strain, failure or tension within societal or civic structures and then exploiting them. His output is broadly sculptural but also includes works on paper through public intervention, painting, moving image and sound. He writes extensively and teaches with the Open Studio programme at the Glasgow School of Art.
