    Treasures from the Attic

Treasures from the Attic exhibition is a collection of the artworks and treasures we hold in the Museum's Attic that, like most museums, the public never get to see.

Biggar Museum are hosting a 9-week long special exhibition featuring artworks and treasures from our collection that are not typically on display to the public.

Some of the artworks that are displayed include work by Robert Gemmell Hutchison RSA, William Criozier ARSA, John Pairman and James Howe, all of whom have a connection to Biggar.

Treasures will include some of our silverware and a clock made by a local joiner, James Plenderleith, whose grandson, Harold Plenderleith, became very well known in conservation practices.
