Every year a panel of our Academicians visit degree shows across Scotland to select the best and boldest works to feature in our acclaimed New Contemporaries show. After a tough few weeks of judging, we're delighted to announce the RSA New Contemporaries of 2027.
This year, selection was made by exhibition Convenor Ade Adesina RSA, with assistance from fellow Academicians and representatives from the five main colleges of art. Adesina studied Fine Art at Gray's School of Art, and was the first RSA New Contemporary to be elected a Royal Scottish Academician.
