Winners announced for three of our major funding awards

RSA David Michie Travel Award • Barns-Graham Travel Award • William Littlejohn Award
RSA David Michie Travel Award 
Emma Hall received the 2022 David Michie Travel Award, which provides £2,500 to a graduating or postgraduate drawing and painting student. Emma plans to travel to Kyoto to conduct an exploration of the management of space and embodiment within specific Kyoto gardens, and an investigation of the translation of 3-dimensional space to 2 dimensions.


RSA William Littlejohn Award 
Rosalind Lawless is the winner of the 2022 RSA William Littlejohn Award, which grants £2,000 for excellence and innovation in water-based media. Rosalind plans to travel to Porthmeor Studio in St Ives to develop her chance compositions and to focus on other areas of water-based mono-printing with collage.


RSA Barns-Graham Travel Award
Guendalina Rota and Charlotte Maishman are the recipients of the RSA Barns-Graham Travel Award, which provides £2,000 for travel and a research opportunity for graduating and postgraduate students. The 
outcome of their project will be an installation that investigates their origins through the duality of landscape, supported by poetry and illustrations gathered along their journey.
