Join Victoria Crowe RSA for an exclusive evening celebrating the publication of The Orkney Works.
In 2022 Victoria was supported by the RSA Residencies for Scotland programme to make working trips to Orkney - an opportunity which has had a deep impact on her practice. This new book explores the large body of work she has produced, through drawing, painting, prints and tapestry, following her detailed observations of Orkney's varied landscapes.
Victoria will introduce the publication and give a short talk about her Orkney work and residency experience, followed by a Q&A with the audience. The evening will conclude with the opportunity purchase the publication, have your copy signed by the artist and view This 26: Contemporary Scottish Art and the Academy, an exhibition celebrating the RSA's recent opportunities programme.
The Orkney Works is published by The Pier Arts Centre, Orkney, in association with the Royal Scottish Academy, Edinburgh, with funding from the RSA Sir William Gillies Bequest.
