This painting captures a beach with the warm colours created during sunrise.
I chose to paint this as I was drawn to the contrast between warm colours and the blue/black scenery. I wanted to try and capture a moment that felt quiet and peaceful through this painting. I hope viewer's take a moment to appreciate this calm and beautiful scene and put the busyness of life to one side. This was the first time I had painted onto a canvas at school. I am grateful to receive this award although it surprised me. It is nice to share my painting with you all.
