The artist: "My intrigue with landscape painting remains the possibility of immeasurable distance, irrelevant of canvas size. In my work, an environment of space is developed through an accumulation of semi-transparent layers of wax encaustic, a combination of beeswax, resin and pigment. With an inclusion of digital imagery, the boundary between photography and painting is blurred, bringing a contemporary platform to an ancient technique."
