Thank you for awarding me 1st Place Regional North West, it is very exciting.
My watercolour painting is Jarvis Cocker from Pulp, one of my favourite bands. Watercolors are my favourite medium, alongside acrylics and alcohol pens.
I’m very pleased and proud to have won, as I love looking at and creating art. Winning gives me confidence to share my art, and helps me become more respected as a serious artist, which is tricky at only 14. The award is a great reflection of my brilliant Art teacher, Ms McLaughlin, at Plockton High School. The prize money will help me buy materials that are beyond the reach of my pocket money. Thank you.
