This image was part of my Advanced Higher portfolio which focused on channelling surrealist imagery through the primary colours. For blue, I wanted to exaggerate the lifelessness of corporate office jobs and highlight their dystopian nature. The worker sits amongst screens which all display an error, showing that no work is being done and that the appearance of productivity is really the most important. This is admittedly quite bleak, and I'd prefer imagining the future to be less Orwellian, but for now I’m really pleased to win this award and would like to thank my art teachers and the RSA.
