Des McMahon HRSA is the Senior Director in one of Ireland’s leading architectural practices Gilroy McMahon, who have designed a widely diverse range of important Irish buildings over the last two decades. Des McMahon’s portfolio of work includes the stadium at Croke Park, which received the RIAI Gold medal earlier this year, the conversion of Collins Barracks for the National Museum of Ireland, which received the Gulkenkian Museum Award & RIAI Triennial silver medal for conservation, Glór Theatre for Irish Traditional & International Folk music in Ennis and the Hugh lane Gallery in Parnell Square.

 

Des McMahon is a past Vice President of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland is an RIAI Council Member. He was elected an Associate Member of the RHA in July 2006 and a full Member later that year. Des was elected as the President of the RHA on Tuesday 20th October 2009
