Born in South Wales in 1942, David Pugh Evans RSA studied at Newport College of Art from 1959-1962 before moving to London to study at the Royal College of Art from 1962-1965. Moving to Scotland he became a lecturer at Edinburgh College of Art in 1965 until his retirement in 1998. David then continued to paint from his Edinburgh studio.
