Throughout 2026, we’re celebrating our bicentenary and 200 years of Scottish art and architecture.

We’re marking this occasion nationwide as we bring over 100 partners, galleries and institutions together for an extraordinary year of exhibitions, events and performances. RSA200: Celebrating Together is bringing communities across Scotland and beyond together, uniting museums, galleries and cultural partners in a shared celebration. Expect major exhibitions, performances, talks and rehangs of collections that will shine a spotlight on Scotland’s most treasured artworks.

PhotoDalkeith returns to Dalkeith Palace for its third year, celebrating Scotland’s rich photographic heritage and the evolution of photography as an art form

Set within the stunning surroundings of Dalkeith Palace, the exhibition traces a line from founding RSA member David Octavius Hill to contemporary Academicians and RSA award-winners, including Thomas Joshua Cooper RSA, Wendy McMurdo RSA, Graham Fagen RSA and Calum Colvin RSA. Works from the RSA collection will be complemented by newly commissioned photography.
