Gareth Fisher: The Alessandria Series

We are pleased to present works from The Alessandria Series by Gareth Fisher PRSA for sale. Fisher has recently been elected President of the Royal Scottish Academy. 

This group of small watercolour paintings were first shown in an exhibition titled Nor, perchance, at the cultural institute Il Triangolo Nero in Alessandria, Italy, in 2001. Although known as an acclaimed sculptor, watercolour is a significant element of Fisher's practice, allowing him to explore his interest in the natural sciences and constructed environments with both the fluidity and precision afforded by the medium.
