Preview of Scottish Paintings & Sculpture auction

 

You are invited to celebrate the joint bicentenaries of Lyon & Turnbull and the Royal Scottish Academy with over 100 works of Scottish art, covering the period from the 18th to the 20th centuries, on display before they are offered in L&T’s flagship Scottish Paintings & Sculpture auction on 4 June 2026. There will be a special emphasis on those by Royal Scottish Academicians from all ranks from Past Presidents to Honorary, Full and Associate members.

Both the Royal Scottish Academy and Lyon & Turnbull have been actively involved in the evolving Scottish art market, promoting Scottish contemporary art to the wider world. To mark the RSA's bicentenary, this talk will chart some of that history and focus on the RSA's ongoing relationship with the art market in Scotland.
