    About Gairloch Museum

With gorgeous views across the sea to the Isle of Skye, Gairloch Museum presents a rolling programme of events and exhibitions exploring art of local and national significance, with a focus on art by contemporary Scottish artists.

Housed in an ingeniously re-purposed Nuclear Bunker, Gairloch Museum's permanent collection celebrates and shares over 7000 years of local history, from the area's earliest settlers to the 20th century engineering marvels of Rubh Re lighthouse. An interactive gallery dedicated to the natural world, a Pictish Symbol Stone (one of only two ever found on the west coast mainland) and the huge fresnel lighthouse lens are just some of the collection's highlights.
