Royal Scottish Academy: 200 Years of Art in Angus

An exhibition showcasing work from previous academicians in the Angus collection alongside loans from current academicians Michael Visocchi RSA and Ian McKenzie Smith RSA.

Join us at the Meffan Museum & Art Gallery as we celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Royal Scottish Academy (RSA), an institution at the heart of Scotland’s artistic life since 1826. As part of the RSA bicentenary programme, this special exhibition brings together works by Academicians past and present, exploring two centuries of creativity, innovation, and influence, inspired by the landscapes and communities of Angus. The exhibition includes work on from the RSA.

Through ANGUSalive, the gallery plays a key role in inspiring creativity and connecting communities, offering a dynamic programme of exhibitions, learning activities, and events.
