Eddi Reader & Pamela Blair on Your Cheatin’ Heart and the Legacy of John Byrne

Celebrate 200 years of the Royal Scottish Academy with Paisley Museum.

Join us for this free event at Paisley Town Hall as we remember Paisley artist and playwright John Byrne RSA (1940–2023). As part of RSA200: Celebrating Together, Scottish singer Eddi Reader and BBC costume maker Pamela Blair will talk about their time working on Byrne’s TV show Your Cheatin’ Heart (1990).

We will learn more about objects added to the Renfrewshire collections which are connected to John Byrne and Your Cheatin’ Heart.

Don’t miss this chance to explore how art and television come together through the work of one of Scotland’s most unique creative voices.

    About Paisley Museum

The transformation of Paisley Museum is Scotland’s biggest cultural heritage project. The first major refurbishment in the building's 150-year history continues to progress, with construction expected to be completed by the end of the year and opening scheduled for the second-half of 2026. Once complete, the £69 million redevelopment will create a world-class visitor destination in the heart of the town, showcasing Paisley and Renfrewshire’s outstanding cultural treasures and heritage.
