London's Premier Printmaking Competition

Call for entries:  June - 1 September 2026

The International Original Print Exhibition, established by the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE), is an international open submission exhibition celebrating the best of contemporary printmaking. Its aim is to show the broad range of techniques and innovative uses of this medium. Artists from across the globe are invited to submit their works in printmaking.

RSA Director, Colin Greenslade, will be joining this year's selection panel to choose the works for the resulting exhibition at London's Bankside Gallery.

Submissions will open in June 2026, the submission deadline will be 1st September, and the exhibition will take place in November.

  • About the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers

Originally known as the Society of Painter-Etchers, the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (RE) was founded in 1880.
We received our Royal Charter from Queen Victoria in 1888 and we changed our name in 1991 to embrace a broader range of printmaking practices, but we have retained the abbreviation RE to this day as our identity.
We are extremely proud of our history, but printmaking is a dynamic and forward-looking pursuit and the current membership contains some of the most innovative and creative artists working in every print-based medium imaginable.
The RE aims to create long-term opportunities for artists and promote printmaking to a wider audience.
