Celebrating Together: RSA200 at PhotoDalkeith
200 years of photography and film from the Royal Scottish Academy.
 
As part of RSA200: Celebrating Together, PhotoDalkeith will host this new exhibition showcasing photography and film from the collection of the RSA as well as new work. The exhibition will examine the Collections and history of photography within the RSA, from the 19th Century until the present day. The exhibition will explore the relationship of photography to painting and its gradual adoption as an art form in itself, beginning with David Octavius Hill RSA (a founding member of the RSA and Secretary for 39 years) and ending with the work of contemporary Academicians and artists supported by the RSA, including Thomas Joshua Cooper RSA, Wendy McMurdo RSA, Graham Fagen RSA and Calum Colvin RSA.
