Regional Award - Junior North Winner.
The artist: "I was inspired by the work of Julien Opie. I was trying to simplify the shapes and make the face look more geometric than it was in my drawing. I was trying to use more vivid contrasting colours like red and blue to make the portrait stand out and be less like in real life. I enjoyed doing the digital work and layering the drawing from the basic shape of the face up to the circles for the eyes."
