This timely survey exhibition will explore the contribution of printmaking to the landscape of contemporary art in Scotland. A medium which encourages collaboration, printmaking offers artists opportunities to share knowledge and skills.

Printmaking studios have been community hubs for artists in Scotland since the first open access workshops opened in the 1960s and 70s. Whilst other visual arts organisations have struggled to secure funding and support in Scotland in the recent years, printmaking studios continue to thrive, with strong artist-led memberships and affordable art at the centre of their purpose.

Curated by acclaimed printmaker Ade Adesina RSA and Head of Programme Flora La Thangue, the exhibition will give visitors the opportunity to view artworks by the foremost names in contemporary Scottish printmaking, as well as lesser-known and emerging artists pushing the boundaries of contemporary printmaking techniques.
