My work was inspired by a. peaceful picture of Turn berry Lighthouse.
I sketched in pencil, it took time to get everything right! I used a thin, then thick pen, using pointillism techniques. I had to keep the dots small; close together to add depth and shadow, and apart to add light.
There were points where I struggled, like with perspective, but I also found the clouds and sea challenging. The clouds needed to be wispy, not just outlines, while the sea had to look different from land.
Receiving the. award was such a surprise. I am beyond happy!
