In 2012 Boyd was North Ayrshire’s Artist in Residence, and made a body of work responding to the landscapes of this largely under-represented part of Scotland. This image of a Stell (sheep enclosure) was made following a long winter walk across the moorlands of Clyde Muirshiel Park in deep snow.
