I wanted to go with an unsettling atmosphere for this piece of artwork, pomegranates seemed appropriate for getting this effect as they had a rather bloody look to them. I used watercolour for only the pomegranates while the rest of the piece was in graphite pencil to make the pomegranates stand out as the central focus. I have always enjoyed making art as it allows me to express myself and my ideas. I am deeply honoured to receive this award. I had not been expecting such an outcome but I am happy nonetheless!
