Steffi enjoys the sensory effects of creating artwork. She enjoys mark making, printing, painting and using oil pastels to be able to express her sensory needs. The winning artwork was made using powdered paint pigments on a wet surface. The rhythmical movement of applying the different pigments and the resulting explosion of colour is something that Steffi finds regulating and calming and this painting is a result of her use of materials to create artwork as a direct response to her sensory regulation.
