This portrait captures a moment with my friend at Cramond beach in the summer which was my final piece for my Advanced Higher Portfolio. I wanted to explore colour and the way that it can affect the mood and atmosphere of the portrait. I wanted to create more fun and vibrant portraits that have subtle colour changes that the viewer might not notice at first. I used coloured pencil to create this picture, using many layers to create the appearance of the skin.
