From the artist: I am honored to have this award. Thank you so much.

I did the painting in a mixture of pen and ink and acrylic paint. I chose the inks because I liked how bright and how cheerful they are, and I chose the acrylics because they helped to make the ink stand out more. I then took a photograph of the painting and continued to work on it on the iPad using the artist's app called Procreate. This helped me get a closer look at the painting and add more detail to it. I was influenced by two artists Leon Morocco and Henri Matisse.
