Stuart Duffin's print of Sutherland was the first commissioned by the RSA after receiving the gift of Wilson's plates in 2017. Stuart printed from the plate in the RSA galleries during the exhibition Ages of Wonder. Some of Wilson's plates have degraded more than others, leading to faded passages and a detrimental effect on the image. This print does not feature in the gallery hang, but is included online for its role in seeding the idea for an anniversary exhibition on William Wilson.
