Intermediate Award - Third Prize Winner

The artist: "I decided to choose Glasgow City Chambers for my drawing/ artwork as It is one of Glasgow most iconic buildings as it sits in George square. I have a lot of memories there as that is were Glasgow's Christmas market is held each year and one of the places you are walking by each time you are in Glasgow but never really get a good look at it or know what it is. I wanted to make it look as if the building was lit up at night, so I used bright reds and yellow as a background with darker colours like purple and black to imitate the sky. To create this piece I use Scraffito, as it is something I had never used before and wanted to try something new, and not just pen and pencil. I enjoy doing linework, so this was a piece I really enjoy doing and creating. feel very thankful that I have won the award and very lucky as I didn't think I would have ever been chosen."
