Verity MacBride is a Fine Art graduate of Gray’s School of Art in 2025. She works with risograph and watercolour, the work exploring a 2D sensory experience creating vibrant work that takes the viewers into a space to escape from a chaotic world. As such, the viewer is invited to explore the flow of the figures, taking in each movement in their own time. She finds inspiration from patterns of movement such as walking and yoga practices, slowing down these acts of movement into a singular piece of work, and in doing so takes a simple experience and expresses that through a pattern. The aim for her work is to take away the sense of urgency and be in the moment.
