NEW Architecture for Arts

A glimpse at a selection of the innovative projects for arts venues by architecture members of the Royal Scottish Academy.

Some of the most prominent and high-profile new builds in Scotland today are for arts venues. Arts venues for the communities across the country, primarily specialising in cultural activities and educational opportunities but also serving as focal points and meeting places for people of all walks of life. Community venues where people of similar interests meet, eat, drink, are inspired and where new ideas are born.

The Royal Scottish Academy brings together three of its prominent architect members for a snapshot of their careers in this field. Three architects who are involved in new, innovative architecture for arts, in the hearts of communities across Scotland today.
