Edinburgh based sculpture artist Tim Milner graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 2022 and has been honing his metal working skills ever since, working for the Edinburgh based bronze foundry Powderhall Bronze.

The use of military tanks in his artwork initially stemmed from a concern for the future, due to a constant overload of information on war. With conflict and violence on the rise, creating artwork that evolved from this seemed to correlate well with a theme of archaeological remnants of a bleak future.

With an interest in tanks, dystopian future and recycled art, Tim has created a series of miniature bronze tanks initially made from scrap materials. He has also included an updated version of Tank-Tank (2022), an installation showing a tank composed of various scrap metals on a bed of sand.

The sculptures intend to emit a dystopian theme, inviting the viewer to travel into the future and examine the wreckage of war.
