Ráchel Jutka studied Fine Art at Shetland College and later at Moray School of Art, University of the Highlands and Islands, where she graduated in 2021. Ráchel then moved back to her hometown in Slovakia and is now in her final year of MA studies in the Studio of Contemporary Painting at the Faculty of Arts in Košice. Ráchel has participated internationally on several artistic projects and collaborations. Her works are regularly exhibited in solo and group shows.

In her creative practice, Ráchel employs an experimental approach, exploring the limits of canvas and the contemporary notion of a painting. In her latest series #VitaminSea, Ráchel observes the virtual world of social media images merged with our experience of nature and perception of water. These aesthetics are translated into a series of abstract paintings and objects, created using a combination of cyanotypes and soak-stain painting. These works focus on ephemeral nature, on the movement, beauty and fleetingness of both water and our perception.
