Renowned for his exquisite watercolours and collages, William Littlejohn RSA (1929-2006) left the contents of his studio to the Royal Scottish Academy. Whilst a significant collection from the studio became part of the RSA’s permanent collection, we are pleased to offer selected works by the celebrated painter for sale. Featuring lesser-known works by the Royal Scottish Academician, this exhibition includes oils, watercolours and mixed media works on paper which show Littlejohn’s masterful handling of colour and light. The exhibition highlights the subtle beauty of the distinctive motifs that Littlejohn drew from the natural world and the Japanese influences that permeated his practice.
