Dr Janette Kerr is an Hon Royal Scottish Academician, Past President of the Royal West of England Academy of Art, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, and a Visiting Research Fellow, Fine Art, UWE Bristol. I have a long-standing history of showing work, exhibiting regularly across the UK and abroad; my work is held in national and international collections.
I have worked on residencies in Svalbard, Shetland, Norway, Somerset, Wales, and Ireland.
I have curated high profile exhibitions and accompanying programmes, have a strong track record of initiating/working collaboratively on successful projects and obtaining funding – most recently a Creative Scotland funded collaborative project Confusing Shadow with Substance on Shetland. I am frequently invited to give talks/presentations to groups ranging from art societies and businesses, to academics, school pupils and art students.
