Live from the Academicians’ Studio with Mary Bourne RSA
19 November 2020
VIRTUAL EVENT HOSTED VIA ZOOM
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and the inability to host in-person events, the RSA is offering a series of virtual events entitled, ‘Live from the Academicians’ Studio.’ Watch previous events on our Youtube channel HERE
Our first studio visit of the Autumn series will feature Mary Bourne RSA on Thursday 19 November 2020 at 7 pm.
This event is part of the ‘Art UK Sculpture Project’ funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Mary Bourne works from home in rural Moray where she has a space in her house for drawing and writing and a separate workshop for making sculpture, principally in stone. Much of Mary’s recent work has been concerned with the passage of time, and the way this is marked in the natural and human world. The inspiration for the work spans from the delicacy of seasonal flowers to the austere beauty of man-made stone structures that mark time through the measuring out of space.
This event is exclusive to RSA Friends, Salon Members and Patrons
