VOLUNTEERING – why, what and how?

Why? – To have a fulfilling experience supporting the RSA

What? – A wide range of exciting opportunities

How? – By applying for the role which suits you best

As a flourishing arts organisation, the RSA views its work with volunteers as an invaluable part of its work supporting artists and architects throughout Scotland.  All its volunteers, Academicians and staff work together to create a year round programme of exhibitions, awards, residencies and events, and you could be part of it.  We take our volunteers contribution seriously and have all necessary policies in place to help us enjoy a smooth journey together.

Volunteering can offer so much:

  • A wonderful sense of being part of something you consider worth while
  • Invaluable experience
  • Free entrance to exhibitions
  • An insight to the workings of Scotland’s largest artist collective
  • Contact with some of Scotland’s leading artists and architects
  • Realisation of your own creativity

If you are interested in adding your enthusiasm and experience to our passion for art and architecture, we would encourage you to view the roles currently available, as well as those requiring support at other times.  Once you have found the role which would suit your interests and availability, please complete an application form and email it to:
