Throughout the 19th and 20th Century, generous gifts from philanthropists have played a crucial role in shaping the RSA as an institution. Without the generous support of individuals and companies alike which is still in evidence today, there would be no varied exhibition programme, annual lectures, travel scholarships and prestigious prizes for student artists, exhibitors and members. The RSA plays a crucial role in Scotland’s cultural life and in particular the promotion of Scottish contemporary art and artists.  We need your support to realise the RSA’s ambitions for the 21st Century.
