Cancelled: The RSA William Gillies Lecture: William Gillies Reborn

Due to the severe weather and cancellation of train services throughout Scotland, the RSA William Gillies lecture has been cancelled, and will be rescheduled for a date later this year.

This year the annual RSA William Gillies Lecture will focus on the life and work of the acclaimed artist himself.

Presentations on Gillies by exhibition curator Sandy Wood, Alexander Moffat RSA, Dr Joanna Soden HRSA and Andrew McPherson will be followed by a discussion chaired by Murdo Macdonald HRSA and inspired by the themes explored in Andrew’s new book William Gillies: Modernism and Nation in British Art.
